John and Janice Radio will become the station of the 70s and 80s!  Starting in mid-September, WJNJ will be playing every possible rock, pop, and Top 100 tune which made the charts during these two great decades.  This includes R & B, ballads, and pop-country tunes as well.  This will be the new format on a daily basis from 5 AM until 6 PM each weekday.  Then, at 6PM, we add the decade of the 60s with the return of the 60s At 6.  It won't stop there!  At 9 PM Monday thru Thursday, we add the 90s at 9!  Each weekday evening we will feature four decades of oldies, pop, rock, and more from 9PM throughout the night.

Our library of music includes over 10,000 songs from 1960 to the end of the century.  Each song made the Billboard Top 100.  So you may hear many songs only on the charts for one or two weeks! 

Our weekend line up will include 60s on Saturday from 9 AM until 5 PM and the 70s on Sunday in the same time block.  As always we will keep our Friday Night Classic Rock Block Party (7PM until 1 AM) the Saturday Night Rock 'N' Roll Oldies Show (with many songs from the 50s as well - 7 PM until 1AM) and the Sunday Night Soft Rock Sounds of the 70s, 80s and 90s (7PM until 12 Midnight). We will be saying "Goodbye" to the Classic Rock Brunch and the Sack Lunch Oldies Programs as we focus more on the two main decades of great music - the 70s and 80s.  

John and Janice Radio will become your station for Rock and Pop Sounds of the 70s and 80.  We plan on launching this new format on Monday, September 15th So TUNE IN!

A SPECIAL FORMAT

We combine five great formats into one, forming the largest playlist of any station on the air.   Classic Rock Hits from the British Invasion (1964) to the Seattle Sounds of the late 90's; Modern Rock which takes up where Classic Rock leaves off and picks up alternative and grunge sounds; Soft Rock Hits from the early 6o's to the present; Hot Adult Contemporary which includes cross-over country and R & B tunes; and all the great Oldies from the 50's, 60's and 70's.

We aren't kidding!  Now we can play those songs you want to hear.  During the weekdays from 1 PM until the next morning at 6 AM and on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 AM until 7 PM we have "open lines" through our website.

Like any good thing, we have a couple of requirements and they are strictly enforced.  The first is you will be allowed to request no more than 2 songs in a ninety minute period and no more than 6 per day.  You understand: sharing air time with others is very important.
